Loulou’s Boutique

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Loulou Bontemps, owner of Loulou’s Boutique and purveyor of beautiful vintage jewelry, accessories and artworks.

Loulou’s Boutique and Loulou herself takes enormous pride in supporting up and coming artists and designers through her website which sells beautiful one-off pieces by designers such as Mister Batlow, Briar Rose and Gemma Dane.

My favourites are the Cleo necklace:

A beautiful gold 16” necklace hanging a vintage ring made of crystal and gold which envelopes a black hanging stone at its centre.

I was also drawn to the elegant simplicity of Gemma Dane’s coin necklace:

It has such a vintage charm about it, it almost feels like the kind of necklace passed down through a family or rediscovered in a tin hidden away secretly in a wall.

Ana Ostrom’s Gold Flake ring is cute and quirky with attention-grabbing bubblegum pink detail but a classic pearl on top this ring would be a perfect as a cocktail ring, it is truly lovely. Made of brass, cotton and faux pearl this ring is the perfect dichotomy in that it looks luxurious yet it is humble and beautiful (and cheap!).

My favorite piece of all however is the Gold Leaf necklace. This necklace incorporates three of my favourite things; gold, leaves and pearls.

I love the extra long and adjustable hanging chaina, perfect for a backless dress, ended by the tiniest of pearls. It’s just magnificent.

If you want to see any of Loulou and her fellow designer’s stuff go to:

or alternatively, go to the ICA fashion and art event on the 21st of September and see all the fabulous pieces in the flesh.
